The Meridian crest

A Private Members’ Society · By Invitation

A private society for ambitious men who choose an extraordinary life.

The Mission

The Meridian exists to cultivate a lifelong brotherhood of exceptional men — gathered for shared experience, meaningful conversation, refined taste, and purposeful adventure. It holds that character is built in company, and that an extraordinary life is a deliberate one.

Signature Experiences

The calendar of the Society.

Each year follows a quiet rhythm — the table, the mountain, the stage, the work.

The Opening Dinner — candlelit long table, black tie

I · Annually

The Opening Dinner

Each year begins in black tie. Members and new candidates are received at a single long table, by candlelight, where the year ahead is set out and the Society’s toasts are given.

II · Quarterly

Summit Expeditions

Four times a year, the Society takes to the Alps. Members climb in small rope teams with mountain guides — days of effort and weather, evenings of long conversation in the hut.

III · Through the Year

The Private Table

Dinners at Michelin-starred houses, taken in private rooms and arranged for conversation rather than occasion. The kitchen is introduced; the menu is theirs.

IV · Seasonal

Cultural Evenings

Opera, galleries, and concert halls — attended together, and discussed at length afterward.

V · By Arrangement

Ateliers & Archives

Behind-the-scenes standing at workshops, ateliers, and historic sites seldom opened to visitors.

VI · Annually

The Retreat

The flagship of the year — several days in one remarkable place, in full company and without agenda.

VII · Annually

The Commission

One community project each year, chosen, funded, and completed by the members themselves.

Membership

Admission is a process, not a purchase.

The Society admits men of character and ambition. Candidacies are considered without haste.

I

Invitation

Candidacy begins with an invitation from the Society, or a request for consideration.

II

Recommendation

Two members in good standing must speak for each candidate.

III

Interview

A conversation with the founders, held in person.

IV

Committee

The membership committee considers each candidacy in full, and without appeal.

V

Annual Review

Membership is renewed each year on engagement, not tenure.

Some men inherit their circle. Others choose it.

Request Consideration

Answers are brief by design. All considerations are held in confidence.

Who referred you?
